Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Paranormal Pulse ("the app," "we") handles and how. Paranormal Pulse is built to be privacy-first: it has no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not require an account, and we do not collect, sell, or share personal information for advertising or tracking. Paranormal Pulse contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

2. Data stored on your device

Your game data stays on your device. The following are saved only in your device's local browser storage and are never transmitted to us:

• Your event timeline, meter calibration, and saved sessions
• Achievement progress and app preferences (such as sound on/off)

You can clear this data at any time using the in-app "Clear" control or by clearing the app's site data in your browser/device settings.

3. Sensors (camera, microphone, motion, magnetometer)

When you open the live view, Paranormal Pulse uses your device's camera, microphone, and motion/magnetic-field sensors to power playful in-game effects in real time. This processing happens on your device. Sensor streams are not recorded or uploaded by us. If you choose to record an audio clip, that clip is saved locally on your device and is only shared if you choose to download or share it yourself.

4. Location (optional)

The "Local Haunts" feature can use your approximate location, only if you tap "Use my location," to find publicly known stories near you. Your coordinates are sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service to convert them into a place name. We do not store your location.

5. Contact form

If you use the in-app "Contact & Support" form, the name, email, and message you enter are sent to the developer so we can reply to you. This submission is processed by our form provider, Web3Forms. We use these details only to respond to your inquiry and do not use them for marketing.

6. Third-party services

• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — reverse geocoding for the optional Local Haunts feature.
• Web3Forms — delivery of Contact & Support messages.
• Hosting (GitHub Pages) — serves the app's files; standard server request logs may be processed by the host.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

7. Children

Paranormal Pulse is intended for general audiences for entertainment and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
